Nominated for 3 Oscars:

-Best Actress in a Leading Role – Natalie Portman
-Best Original Music Score
-Best Costume Design

Natalie Portman deserves to win the Oscar this year.

The way she potrays Jackie Kennedy throughout this movie is absolutely phenomenal. I’m not trying to take anything from Emma Stone but I mean “La La Land” is already going to win its fair share of awards on Sunday night.

But not just her acting, I felt that some of the other various characters were portrayed pretty well like JFK himself, his brother Bobby and the children Caroline and JFK Jr. And of course seeing John Hurt in his final film before his death was gut wrenching. As someone who like biopics I didn’t mind the slower pace because it showed me every little detail of emotion every single person involved had to go through.

Jackie Kennedy was all about preserving history and legacy and although her marriage may not have been perfect, she does everything in her power to make sure her husband gets the farewell he so rightfully deserves.

“Don’t let it be forgot that once there was a spot. For one brief shining moment that was known as Camelot.”

Verdict: 8/10
